I have been using Windows since the days of Windows Vista, and Windows' setup for managing sounds has always felt inadequate. It feels like a small process Microsoft decided to complicate—adjusting app volumes and switching between headphones and speakers doesn't feel straightforward. Windows 11 is slightly better, but there is still room for improvement. It has sound controls spread across the taskbar, Settings app, and Control Panel, with small tasks divided among them. Though functional, it's not fluid.
